Desert Peaks Golf Club is a 9-hole course owned by The
City of Madras and is open to the public year around,
weather permitting. Desert
Peaks Golf Club is located near the airport and
the industrial area, just north of Madras. It features
wide open spaces with beautiful views of the mountains.
A family oriented course, it offers challenges to all
golfers.
The 6,312 yard course was rated in its first
year of operation and plays to a 67.2/110 slope for men
and 69.2/112 slope for women. Desert Peaks Golf Club is
a member of the Oregon Golf Association and offers a
handicap program and posting facilities at the pro shop.
A pro shop and club house were completed in the fall of
2003, followed by a new putting green.
Madras Men’s Golf Association has regular meets
during the week and on Sunday. The Madras Ladies
Group meets weekly on Wednesday, beginning in
April. Membership in each of these groups is
available and welcome.
Membership plans are available for local
players, as well as reasonable green fee rates.
Power carts, pull carts and rental clubs are
also available.
